Blue Romper & The New Blog
I am so thrilled the warm weather has returned to LA! When I first moved here, I thought it would be bright and sunny all year long, but this year the first few months were quite chilly. Today I’m embracing the fact that spring is back by wearing one of my favorite and most celebratory outfits – my blue romper. The reason for my sunny celebration is because today is a great day. It’s the day of the first blog post on The Vogue Voyager!
Location: Los Feliz, CA – Outfit Details:
Blue Vestique Romper (similar under $40) / Black Wedges (similar) / Vintage Purse (similar) / Ecco Bella Lipstick (in Redvelation) / VJL Rings / VJL Necklace / VJL Earrings
If you’ve come here from Jess Explains It All, don’t worry, I’ll still be creating content for that blog. This blog will be a home for everything fashion, beauty and travel related! I realized a year or so into Jess Explains It All that blogging about style and travel was becoming a huge passion of mine. It was such a passion of mine that it started taking over the other blog. I decided that I needed to create a separate blog for those topics!
With that revelation, The Vogue Voyager was born. I thought a lot about it, and talked to some of my closest friends and family for advice on making this new blog. I honestly couldn’t he happier about this decision! Yay for spring cleaning the blogs, and for new beginnings. I’m all smiles today, because it marks the start of something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.
I don’t know if you’re like me, and enjoy making to make to-do lists. Well, I love making them, but sometimes things stay on them for way too long!! I’m so thrilled to have taken creating this new blog off the back burner. Spring always does that to me, I feel so motivated to get everything done when the sun is out!
It was a beautiful day to put on my blue romper, snap some photos, and think about what’s in store for the coming year on the blog. Get excited – I’ll be focusing on traveling to new places, wearing pretty dresses and documenting everything and sharing it here. If there is anything you’d like to see covered on the blog let me know and I’ll be sure to address it.
Speaking of running around to new places, I found this beautiful flower mural that’s in the photos behind me in a little corner of Los Feliz. I love taking a day and being a tourist in my own city. When I’m working and running errands everything sort of blends together, but taking a day to be a tourist opens up so many beautiful new sights – like this flower mural!
I mentioned before that this is one of my favorite outfits – it really is. It’s my go-to attire when I want to feel pretty and relaxed! The blue romper is from Vestique, and even though it’s a little older, I’ve found some similar versions (here, here, here and this one under $40) that are also really great.
The blue romper is styled with jewelry from Vintage Jewelry Lane. I’m such a fan of vintage pieces. In fact, I picked up the bag I’m wearing at an estate sale! If you’ve never been to one before, you should definitely go – it’s so fun to find very cute and truly vintage pieces.
Well, that’s all for now. I hope you’re finding ways to enjoy the start of spring! Let me know what trends you’re loving for spring in the comments below! I’ll see you next week!
xoxo, Jess
