Raleigh Rose Garden
I grew up most of my life in Raleigh, North Carolina. A while ago I took a trip back to NC and visited one of my favorite places – The Raleigh Rose Garden. It’s absolutely beautiful and filled with so many different colors of roses. I found out about the Raleigh Rose Garden because It’s connected to the Raleigh Little Theatre (RLT), and I was in a play there when I was younger. It’s always been a place I think of really fondly when I think of home.

So full disclosure… when I mentioned that I’ve had these photos for “a while” it means that I’ve had these photos since about October. ? I’ve procrastinated putting them up – so if you’re thinking of going to visit the Raleigh Rose Garden now, it will be even more beautiful than these photos. They were taken in the fall, but the garden really flourishes in the spring!
If you find yourself in Raleigh, it’s a really great place to visit. There is a little gazebo where you can bring a picnic, and admire all of the roses. There’s 60 flower beds with 56 varieties of roses! The flowers are absolutely gorgeous when they’re all in bloom.
Seeing all of the pretty flowers put a huge smile on my face for the entire day and inspired a silly and impromptu photo shoot!
I spent the day strolling around the Raleigh Rose Garden in the most comfortable H&M basic black dress layered with my scalloped coral top. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact version to link to, but this top is very similar and also under $25 – which is such a bonus!
I think it would be impossible NOT to feel relaxed in the Raleigh Rose Garden. Walking the property is my definition of a perfect day off. It’s one of the times where I’ve literally stopped to smell the roses.
It was such an amazing vacation. When we visited the Raleigh Rose Garden we were the only ones there (we visited during the day) so my goofy factor was in full force. I have to admit, it was nice to be silly and ridiculous. It made for a fun day!
Pretty flowers always make any day better. ? Beautiful roses are always guaranteed to put a smile on my face. If you’re as big of a fan of roses as I am, make sure you check out my mama’s blog. She’s an expert on roses.
There’s something so restful about taking a vacation. I always find that it recharges me and makes me more productive. I always want vacation to last forever, but I do feel much more productive when I get back to work. Have you noticed the same thing?
After feeling fully relaxed and rested we took one last lap around the grounds, admiring the roses and the fountains before moving our adventure to Downtown Raleigh.
Any time I’m in Downtown Raleigh I grab Bojangles. It’s like southern/fried chicken/fast food deliciousness. I’m normally not one for fast food, but Bojangles always change my mind. The Cajun Filet Biscuit Combo and the Boberry Biscuit are my favorites.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be off in dreamland thinking of Bojangles and days at the Raleigh Rose Garden.
That’s all for now, but check back soon! I’ll be sharing more of my travel adventures from my trip to North Carolina. Have you ever been and if so what was your favorite place to visit? Let me know in the comments section!
xoxo, Jess
